GothNoWriMo 2008

NaNoWriMo just isn’t coming quick enough, and I think you have to have participated to understand that feeling.  So, when I found the forum post on GothNoWriMo, I had to see what it was all about.

Scary is what it’s all about, in so many ways.

I’ve never even considered writing Gothic Literature.  It took me several years and more than a few restarts to make it through Dracula (not because it wasn’t good, I just found it hard to read).

Fortunately for newbies like me, the GothNo crowd is very forgiving.  They hold their arms open not only to those striving to write a true Gothic Novel, but to anyone willing to novel along on a dark, creepy journey in the month of October.

If you’re looking to warm up for NaNo, or if you find the idea of 50,000 words in a month frightening altogether, you might enjoy the fact that you set your own wordcount goal for GothNoWriMo.
